Giftedness

Students who perform (or have the capacity to perform) at high levels come with their own strengths and challenges. Several gifted students also have learning and processing challenges (sometimes referred to as twice exceptional) that will require accommodations, interventions, and support. Specific program planning for these special learners is vital. A component of which should include enrichment opportunities so that talents can flourish and students can reach their potential. Further, and important to note is that gifted children can often be out of sync socially and emotionally and need support in this area.
